What I can do for you
To get a professional look and feel for your writing or designs—for example your website, blog or social media; printed marketing materials such as flyers, posters, business cards, menus, price lists, etc.; your essay, dissertation or thesis; your CV and cover letter for that important job application—your content has to be error-free and well-presented.
Whether setting up a website, writing a blog post, designing a flyer or poster, or putting together a proposal, it’s often underestimate how unprofessional and off-putting spelling mistakes and grammatical errors can look to our readers. However, mistakes are easily made (and just as easily missed) by the writer. My job is to fix any spelling, grammatical or punctuation slip-ups for you, helping you to instil confidence and trust for your readers, potential and returning customers, fans or brand.
During the proofreading process, I’ll go through your text meticulously, word-by-word and line-by-line, checking for spelling, punctuation, grammar and syntax errors, as well as any style or formatting issues, and generally making sure your writing flows. I won’t change the tone of your voice, but I will work hard to ensure that your words are presented as well as they possibly can be.

I use Track Changes in MS Word for proofreading. This function allows you to see all the edits and amends that I make to your writing, letting you accept or reject the changes as you wish. I am happy to talk you through how to use Track Changes if you are unfamiliar with it. Alternatively, if you would like me to proofread a PDF document, I use the comments and correction tools in Adobe Reader.
For website and blog proofreading, I can either import your pages into Word and use Track Changes, or access your Content Management System to make any amendments directly.
I generally work with non-fiction, such as website pages, blogs, social media, marketing materials, business documents, dissertations, CVs and cover letters, etc. However, I am happy to discuss your project, whatever it may be.
You’ll receive a personalised quote reflecting the length and content of your project, how much work is required to get your text into shape, and how quickly you need it completed. I may ask you for a representative sample of your project so that I can provide you with an accurate quote.
